Tammy J. Vaughan, Au.D.
Audiologist
Originally from Kentucky, Dr. Tammy Vaughan completed her undergraduate studies at Murray State University and her graduate education at the University of Memphis. She was drawn to audiology because hearing is such an important part of how people connect with one another and the world around them. For Tammy, hearing care offers the perfect combination of science, technology, and meaningful personal relationships.
As an audiologist, Tammy evaluates hearing concerns and develops solutions tailored to each patient’s individual needs. She provides hearing aid consultations and fittings, real-ear verification, and ongoing fine-tuning to help patients adapt successfully to their technology. Education is also central to her approach: she takes the time to help patients and their families understand their hearing and feel confident managing it.
What Tammy loves most about her work is getting to know her patients and understanding how hearing loss affects their everyday lives. Seeing someone reconnect with a spouse, participate more confidently in conversations, enjoy music again, or feel less isolated is incredibly rewarding.
Outside the office, Tammy enjoys spending time outdoors and making the most of everything Hawai‘i has to offer. She loves snorkeling, hiking, exploring the island, and taking time outside to slow down and recharge.
